The most important person in every company is the customer so the better you know and understand them the easier it will be to tailor your strategy to suit the needs of your audience. To do this put yourself in their shoes, go on their journey, ask them questions, look for feedback, do this through focus groups or existing social media channels. This will be invaluable in understanding the expectations of your target audience. Finally access all of the touch-points your customers make contact with your business, such as your website & social media channels as this will truly let your see what your customer sees and understand their journey.


  • Engage with your audience 

Its become a known fact that online customers (including myself) have what is fondly called online ADHD so just producing  and promoting quality content is no longer enough, your content must not only be engaging you as a company must engage with your audience. If you dont, your competitor certainly will. You need to become a skilled online conversationalist and subject matter expert for your customer and find content that will resonate deeply with them. The more contact you have with the people who support your business, the more successful your business will become. The easiest way to do this is of course build social media groups to offer special promotions and campaigns.
